Another kind of rambling

Life is not like a box of chocolates… cos it aint all that sweet all the time. Yes you do occasionally get the odd surprises but you pretty much know by now which chocolate is which. Take a box of roses chocolates for example. At the opening, i reach for the purple wrappers, they’re the plain milk chocolates. If there’s none, a pink one I’ll choose. And then a caramel.. and on and on til theirs only cherry centres and Turkish delights left. My point is, life is somewhat predictable, your choices today and this second will eventuate and determine your immediate or distant future. Sure, there are the odd curve balls or left outfields, or even the rare alien abductions in the cornfield. haha i think my interpretation of life now sounds like a baseball game or that movie staring Mel Gibson, Signs. This is how i know if people are actually reading my posts. (“aliens?” “shes bonkas”.. puahah Wateva!) Anyways through all these twists and turns that life has us going through, I’ve found, that there’s a trend in my age group. Or shall i say “1/4 life crisis”. Life it seems, at the ripe age of 25 is taking us onto the dirt path and into the woods (don my red cape for affect) to face the big bad wolf, namely big corporations only to narrowly escape and experience a life changing turning point that would leave  a lasting impression to never work for anyone else in their life. This has now resulted in 20+ year olds venturing out and pursuing their dreams as their own boss. Gone are the days of climbing the corporate ladder, and dealing with middle management who got there because of their duration within the corporation rather than their experience or qualifications. (*stab*stab*). Im not saying that we’re all like that, but it seems that this is the time where our confidence to break free is NOW. We’re growing out legs… like Ariel in the little mermaid.  Many friends and acquaintances have given up dream jobs to be bankrupt and struggle for a year, knowing that they could succeed or fail. Our view or mindset at this point in time is that we struggle now and reap the benefits when we’re older. This is of course at no expense of our lifestyle. Like Aladdin, in the market place no one will get in our way and we shall persevere. No Regrets! hopefully we’ll find our magic carpet to lift us above the rest for a smooth ride.. so Hoorah to my fellow entrepreneurs. And goodluck to you. Don’t forget if you need a graphic designer CALL ME!! kekek goshness.. advertising in my own blog! hahaha
