OISHI (delicious) JAPAN…..Japan by 50mm

ahaha i hope this long awaited post is as interesting as you hoped it would be! :P if not… then.. Sucked in :P haahah ( only to jeff) the rest of the people… i’m deeply sorry :(

Monday 9th Nov 2009. Our journey started at the airport at 6am. Actually lets start at 12am on that day… cos Sherlin and I worked the night before and had to go home and pack… we didn’t sleep that night cos we were too stressed about packing. I packed too much.. Word of advice to people going.. Bring your desired quantity of underwear.. pants/jeans , tshirts 3-4, shoes 2, a warm jacket and a light jacket. THAT’S IT! …honestly that’s all u need! Cos luggage is a bitch to carry around in Japan.. They walk everywhere as a way of commuting and if not.. its by ways of the bicycle. Although Japanese people are very very helpful and nice… they will totally go out of their way to help u. Many a times when i was struggling with my bags did a galloping Japanese man come to my rescue. and they weren’t even going in the direction we were going… after the kind deed. they would quietly bow.. with me yelling domo arigato mr roboto!( haha nah minus the last bit) after them and them scurrying off in the other direction.

** meeka came to visit
** Jeff: Stop sidetracking me with your astroboy questions!~
** i just found a white thing in my nail … haven’t had one since i was small.. lack of calcium?.. must be the Japanese diet!… they seriously need more veges.. other than CABBAGE!

ok so we checked in at the airport.. and we get checked for explosives.. Cos i look like a full terrorist or something.. OK so your thinking so what.. its random! BS .. cos on the way back.. I got checked AGAIN! the guy at Sydney talked about freakn “cool weird stuff in japan” ;) GG thx ewww. and the women at Queensland decides to comment on my warm clothes when we reached Oz. That is cos i just came from Osaka bimbo! and it was 4 degrees.. and if you would let me go and stop talking.. i can put my bags off and take some layers off!

So Jetstart was ok… but if anyone’s going… bring food.. we brought snacks there.. but snacks are just gross after awhile on a long flight. So on the way back we made sure we got instant noodles from the supermarket.. asked them for water.. and we had a meal :P not their lil cup-o-soup noodles. we bought the Massive ones.
Whilst we tried to catch up on sleep. Jeff and his man friend played cards for pretty much the whole trip.

On arrival at Osaka we lockered out bags and made our way to Dotonbori for our first true Japanese meal. hmmmm.. interesting… maybe not a good choice of place to eats. but some of the stuff was good. we had okonomiyaki an egg pancakey thing (this was bleh), a lot of stick food, eg friend banana, fried fish, fried cheese balls, beef, chicken, quail eggs and a fried noodle. For drinks we had Umeshu which became the favoured drink throughout our whole trip.

Sleep sleep sleep.. haha oh yeah… i was suppose to set the alarm for 6am … but forgot to change it to japan time. so it went off at 4am! puahaha we’re full rushing then we realised :P

next stop Kyoto. This is where im going to start posting pics.. with less story telling! YAY!!

haahhaah cos those who know me.. i am the shitest story teller.. cos i go off on a tangent.. and then come back to it 1hr later.. haahahah but its cool.. they’re used to it.. n they loves me haahah :P
